Contemporary isn’t my go to genre, but, guys! I love this book so much!!!

Here is the Fantastic Author who Written this Bittersweet Book, Sarah Grace Grzy:

Sarah Grace Grzy is a voracious reader, and if it weren’t for this crazy thing called ‘Life,’ she’d be tempted to spend all her days in front of a wood stove, book in one hand, coffee mug in the other.

A lover of learning, she finds enjoyment in many things and has more hobbies than she knows what to do with. Sarah Grace is a freelance web and graphic designer, and when not working, spending time with her ever-growing family, or reading, she can be found painting, playing the piano, or fangirling with her sisters and friends. She inhabits the State of Great Lakes, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else—unless it meant she could have a baby penguin, in which case, she’d gladly move to the South Pole.

About “Live Without You”:

And just look at how pretty this cover is! *heart eyes*

Piper Redding is a loner, but lonely. Everyone she loves has abandoned her and opening her heart to others is just asking for more pain. She can’t help but blame herself for her brother’s tragic death six years ago, and in her guilt, she shuts herself off from the world. No one could love her—not even the God who promised to be there for her but wasn’t.

For paramedic Ezra Bryant, failure is not an option. He’s had enough of it, and only by God’s grace is he able to put it behind him. But when a traumatic event brings Piper’s greatest fear and Ezra’s failures to light, can they use that event to allow God to mend their broken pieces? Can love triumph over fear, and grace over guilt?

Mini Review:

Quote from "Live Without You"

First of all, the cover is GORGEOUS!!!! It is BLUE and has STARS and all the PRETTY THINGS!!! I just loved it!!! The book starts out being almost a crime drama then goes off being more a contemporary romance. The love is very respectful, and I was shipping Piper and Ezra together at the minute they saw each other in the hospital. This is the kind of book where you can curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a box of tissues, because you might need them. And I wanted more of Tyler!!! Like please!!! Sarah Grace, write another book for him!!!

About the Character

Ezra Bryant:

Ezra Bryant - Story Aesthetic

Tenderhearted, always wanting to help, a strong believer in God (even if he still struggles with the death of his mother), he loves both of his parents, loves his job working as a paramedic which totally fits with his character, and he is a coffee lover. I don’t even like coffee, but EZRA!!!! YES!!! Oh, and even though he is allergic, he is too softhearted to turn down a kitten. AWWW!!!

About the Character

Piper Redding:

Piper Redding - Story Aesthetic

A total introvert, a loner, doesn’t like large groups of people but I think she does like to hang out with people, I’m pretty sure she’s like me in the fact that I think she likes blue books, likes to read, has a really cool job as a graphic and web designer which is COOL, can be funny, loves animals, the way she is with her cat!!! She is struggling with God, and is heartbroken, but she LOVES HOT CHOCOLATE!!! YES!!! She understands what true love is!!!

Quote from "Live Without You"

Content in Book:

  1. Violence. (Gun shootings with a certain amount of description, with talks of people getting shot and killed, with blood.)
  2. A car accident.
  3. Injuries (that are semi-detailed).

Who I Would Recommend This Book To:

Those who like contemporaries that have a certain amount of fluff and realness, and heartache, that is bittersweet. Those who like books with strong Christian messages.

Seven Reasons Why You

Should Totally Read This Book:

  1. THE COVER IS BLUE AND PRETTY AND YESSS!!!! YOU WANT THIS ON YOUR SHELF!!!
  2. The kitten, Trouble or is it Finley? 😉
  3. Piper!!! She has a really cool personality, she might be heartbroken, but I still like her.
  4. Ezra!!! HE HAS THE KINDEST SOUL AND I JUST LOVE HIM!!!! He wants to help everyone, and is really cool.
  5. Tyler!!! The nonstop talking friend who is kind and will make you laugh if it is the last thing he will do!
  6. The strong Christian message about God’s will and giving everything you love back to Him.
  7. Will make you feel things. Like, you might just start crying.
