Alternate Hardback Cover Reveal | The First Three Books in “My Time in Amar” Series By: Nicki Chapelway

Helloooo Everyone! Yes, you did read the title right! We are doing THREE alternate hardback cover reveals! Nicki is back after a month of writing with more covers for us. Today, I am going to reveal the alternate covers for the first three books in the “My Time in Amar” series. “A Week of Werewolves, Faeries, and Fancy Dresses”, “A Time of Trepidation, Pirates, and Lost Princesses”, and “A Season of Subterfuge, Courtiers, and War Councils”!

If you haven’t read this fantastic series yet, now is the time! It’s basically this portal fantasy where this old wizard guy takes four teenagers out of our world, and BOOM! BANG! into the wild lands of Amar. A place with dangerous fae, dragon riders, werewolves, pirates, dark lords, and more. The only way that these chosen four can return home is to fulfill this prophecy. But they’re kids and nothing is ever that easy. Ever. XD

This series literally gets better with each book that comes out! I have so far read each one and love them. And I’m super pumped for these new covers! They’re so pretty!

With nothing further to do, let’s get these cover reveals on the road!

“The werewolf laughs, or at least I think it’s a laugh. Really it’s just a dry wheeze. He steps toward me and lifts a hand to my face. I recoil. His fingernails are long, and his bluish pale skin is paper thin. Veins protrude from the back of his hand making it appear frail. It certainly doesn’t look like the hand of a killer.

But then looks can be deceiving. Especially where werewolves are concerned.”

AND THE PRETTY COVER!!!!

Cover for "A Week of Werewolves, Faeries, and Fancy Dresses" (My Time in Amar, #1) By: Nicki Chapelway

About

Four teenagers.
Two worlds.
One quest.
What could possibly go wrong?

Chelsea Welling is a completely normal fifteen-year-old girl… until one day a portal appears in front of her and pulls her into a fantasy world. After that everything gets weird. Chelsea is half convinced that she is going crazy, until she realizes that she isn’t the only one experiencing this. Her twin brother and two childhood friends have also been brought to this world. But why is this happening to them? And what about these four connects them?

Then one day they find themselves face to face with the powerful mage who is responsible for bringing them into this world, except instead of answering their questions he only gives them new ones. Suddenly they find themselves the inheritors of a magical legacy and the ones chosen to fulfill a deadly prophecy. Even worse, they have been cursed and cannot return home unless they complete a quest their fathers set out on over twenty years ago. The only problem? They have no idea what this quest is…

Chelsea is in for one trying week as she discovers a whole new world, flees from a dark creature that needs her blood to unlock immortality, and tries to figure out just where she stands with her surprisingly handsome childhood friend—all while she struggles alongside her friends to fulfill the all-but-impossible task of finding out what this quest is. But can they truly succeed where their fathers failed?

This portal fantasy is perfect for YA readers who want a clean adventure, slow-burn romance, and coming of age story set in a dangerous but extremely magical fantasy realm.

AND THE PRETTY COVER!!!!

"A Time of Trepidation, Pirates, and Lost Princesses" (My Time in Amar #2) By: Nicki Chapelway

About

Four teenagers.
Two worlds.
One quest.
Since when did survival get so hard?

All Chelsea and her friends have are each other… and magical abilities that they inherited from their fathers. But other than that, they’re on their own. It’s been a week since they were bound to Amar, and they are still no closer to accomplishing their fathers’ quest and getting home.

To make matters worse, the only lead they have is an ominous book of poetry that was written over seven hundred years ago. Inside this book are several mysterious, almost prophetic poems that tell of four heroes who are the only ones who can save Amar from a dark fate. The poems also warn that one of the four will betray the other three, one will be left behind, and one will die.

Full of trepidation over what these poems could mean for them all, Chelsea and her friends journey to the Bextian Sea, the lawless home of pirates and monsters, following a rumor about a golden amulet that has the potential to finally reveal what this quest is. Alas, nothing goes according to plan and soon Chelsea finds herself trying to survive a savage mermaid attack, a vengeful pirate king, and a sudden declaration of love from her childhood friend. All added to the stress of being trapped in a magical world, and the worry that these foreboding poems might actually be prophecies foretelling the future of her and her friends.

This portal fantasy is perfect for YA readers who want a clean adventure, slow-burn romance, and coming of age story set in a dangerous but extremely magical fantasy realm.

“But so much has happened, so much has changed. I’ve fought giants and faeries and werewolves and ridden a dragon. I’ve kissed a pirate king. I can’t even look at things the way I used to on earth. Maybe I’ve been desensitized, or maybe I’m just in a constant state of shock, but I honestly just accept everything without blinking anymore.”

““What is this?” Axius asks, looking at Fiona irately, like she had just slapped him rather than plunged a dagger into his heart. “You are dealing in assassins now?” Blood dribbles down his chin, but his tone remains annoyed and surprisingly calm. “Tsk, tsk, you should know better. I haven’t ruled for seven hundred years without first learning how to survive.”

He plucks the dagger from his chest much more calmly than I could even remove a splinter.”

AND THE PRETTY COVER!!!!

“A Season of Subterfuge, Courtiers, and War Councils” (My Time in Amar #3) By: Nicki Chapelway

About

Four teenagers.
Two worlds.
One quest.
Were they destined to fail?

At least they finally know what they’re doing… now they only have to figure out how to defeat an immortal emperor. That shouldn’t be too difficult, right? Thrust into a fight seven hundred years in the making, Chelsea and her friends find themselves pitted against a powerful and unkillable foe. If they return the true heir of Ione to her rightful throne, then they will finally be free to return home. But first they need to depose the current emperor of Ione. To do that, they need the support of the other kingdoms of Amar, a declaration of war, and an army. But who would be willing to follow four kids into battle?

Their small group splits up, heading to the four corners of Amar looking for rulers willing to join their cause. With Easton by her side, Chelsea travels north to a land of dragons where they discover still more secrets surrounding their legacy in Amar. To make matters worse Chelsea’s control over her volatile mage powers is slipping, and her conflicting feelings for Easton aren’t helping matters either. Add to the mix that it seems like everyone with any amount of power wants them dead, and Chelsea isn’t entirely certain they will live long enough to get home.

They have a war to win, an emperor to dethrone, and a quest to complete. All the while a prophecy foretelling death and betrayal hangs over their heads. With failure and assassins hounding their every step and a future that is clouded by dark tidings, where else do they have to turn?

This portal fantasy is perfect for YA readers who want a clean adventure, slow-burn romance, and coming of age story set in a dangerous but extremely magical fantasy realm.

    1. Aww, thank you! (tires to hide the fact that I just found quotes from Goodreads or old posts that I had posted about the books). These new covers are so pretty! I mean, the old covers matched pretty well, considering that they were all made by different artists. But I do love the alternates a lot. =D

No problem, thanks for having me! =D
