Honestea Tag

Helloooo Everyone! I guess today I’m going to get right down and honest with you. Nicki Chapelway tagged me to do Nie’s Honestea Tag ages ago, and I’m just now getting to it, hehehe. What can I say? I’ve been working on a new book that I should probably tell you guys about someday, but where’s the fun in that? XD Don’t worry, you’ll hear about it soon enough.

Be sure to check out Nicki’s answers here and to also check out the original creator’s, Nie’s, answers here.

The Rules

No lies allowed. If an answer is too shameful to expose you may substitute the answer with a gif/image of someone drinking tea.
e. g. →

There are optional bonus additions to questions but these are not for the faint of heart. If you complete the tag having answered every question + the bonus additions (no gifs used), you are dubbed a certified tea chugger, and you deserve a badge to show the world that you are not afraid of a steaming hot cup of TRUTH. tag at least one other person (a tea party with just one is not very fun. trust me.) untagged persons are more than welcome to fill it out as well (nothing cooler than crashing a tea party).

The Questions

What is a ‘bad’ (generally disliked) movie that you actually love?

I had to really think about this, because I don’t usually keep up with what people think about movies, until more recently. But if I remember right, people don’t really like “The Village” by M. Night Shyamalan. And I absolutely love that movie!

What is your most shocking reading habit?

I use a teakettle as a timer, I use my reading time as my exercising time by pacing, and I switch between two books during that time.

Tell us the number one lie you write in your posts.

I’m kidding, XD I honestly don’t think I have lied in any of my posts. But in case I did, there’s your gif. 😉

Tell us the worst character name you’ve ever thought up. {bonus: share a character name you find ridiculous in a book/movie}

For years I had called one of my characters Dragon Girl. She has a real name now. Unless I decide to change it, right now it’s Alida. I feel kinda bad for her, now that I think about it.

I also have a character who is a fox named Sockgridge. But I secretly like that one. Like a lot. XD

I always thought that America Singer in “The Selection” series was kinda odd. An American singer? Come to find out she was XD or at least she was a singer.

What is the real reason you procrastinate writing your work in progress?

I was going to say editing, as there are some sequels that I haven’t worked on yet because I want to get the first book a little more thought out. But then I got thinking about it and was like, “Wait, I am working on my work in progress! Nothing is stopping me!” It’s not a sequel, but it’s actually the first in a series! “Prince of Chaos and Roses”! Can’t wait to share more about it!

What is a genre of music you secretly love?

IDK. I don’t think I have kept this too much of a secret. I also don’t think I’ve talked too much about it either. I really like epic music that is used in movie trailers or movies, props if it also has words that I like. I’m okay with different kinds of pop and indie rock music. I love music in foreign languages as well. I guess it really depends on my mood. If you want to have a taste of my taste then you could stalk me on Spotify here.

If you’re a plotter, what do you really think of pansters? And if you’re a panster, what do you really think of plotters?

I’m actually a Plantser. XD I have worked with big outlines in the past, but right now with “Prince of Chaos and Roses” I am writing the middle, beginning, and then the end, with no outline, soooo. Though I will probably make an outline for it before the book is finished. Maybe…

But I always admire both pansters and plotters. Pansters for being able to go in there without a plan and get a really cool story. And plotters for having a plan just as long as the book (how do you guys do it!).

Share at least three lines of dialogue from one of your first writing projects {bonus: give us the good stuff. your most gruesome butchering of the English language)

Tell us the title & artist of the last song you listened to.

At this very moment, I’m listening to “Touch” by Ryan Louder and Ashley Serena. =)

Which beloved book/movie character do you dislike & why?

I’m not a big fan of the Darkling from the “Grisha Trilogy”. I’m not sure if he is beloved or anything. But I think I remember a few fans trying to ship him with Alina and… just no. The guy was okay as a villain, but that was all I really liked him as.

Tell us the title & topic of a post you have left in draft.

“The Ships You Would Need to Terraform Planets” (where I would go into great detail of how the ships in the very first scene (and then never seen again) in my “Team Vergate” series could terraform planets).

What is a book you pretend you’ve read/would like to read but know you never will? {bonus: share a time when claiming you’ve read a classic/well known book didn’t end well}

I like to think that I will always get to all the books. But I think that the one book that I’ll probably never get to (at least for a while) is “The Lost Road and Other Writings” by J.R.R. Tolkien. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis collaborated with one another. C.S Lewis was to write a sci-fi (“The Space Trilogy”) and Tolkien a time travel story. “The Lost Road” was also about the fallen city of Númenor. I’m just not a huge LotR fan though, and his writing is a little intimidating. I still want to try it, as it sounds really interesting, but since I don’t own a copy it could be a while.

I try not to make such claims. However, I did hold a conversation about “The Silmarillion” with a big fan. I mean, the fan did know that I haven’t read it yet. But I thought that the conversation went well, even if I kept looking things up, lol XD

Tell us the title & topic of the most embarrassing post you’ve ever written. {bonus: include. the. link.}

  1. Ahh, I love your answers! The Village is an amazing movie, I haven’t seen it since I was a little girl but I screamed like a lot. I think I listed America Singer as a name I thought was dumb too, it’s just so bad XD I’ve never heard of Touch before but you had me at the whole “inspired by Dragon Age” thing.

    Also Sockgridge is super cute.

    1. Awww, thank you! IKR? I don’t usually like horror movies, but this one was soooo good! I think I have heard that some people don’t like the ending. Which I really didn’t mind. Haha, I’m pretty sure that our ceiling still has marks from the first time I watched it with the loud music score jump scare, lol.

      Yeah, I think you did. She was the only character I could think of at the time who had a name I didn’t really like. It definitely was not the best.

      I almost forgot that you have played “Dragon Age”! I haven’t played it, so to me the song “Touch” felt very fairytaleish much like Ashely’s other song “The Fairy King” which fits with the book I’m writing (“Prince of Chaos and Roses”). And I love both of those songs so much!

      Aww, thank you! He’s my cute boy 😀
